Let's be frank - when I first started to write out this blog post, I wanted to title it "The One Practice to Do Each Morning to be Successful." Why wouldn't someone want to read that, right?
Well, the fact of the matter is that there is no ONE strategy or tactic that you can do each morning to be successful, and I'm not going to be the one to lead you on with false promises.
Success looks different to everyone, so let me preface this by saying that your own definition of success will guide how you approach the tactic that I will be talking about today.
While we can't become millionaires by doing a specific routine every morning, but there is something you can include in your morning hours to help each day be a bit more productive. That's what we all want at the end of that after all - finding a bit of success in the moments that we too often overlook.
So, what is this tactic? Gratitude journaling.
This could be one of the most cliché posts I ever write, but I promise you that there is truth and power in reminding yourself of all the things you have to be grateful for.
Every morning, after you wake up and make some coffee, sit down with a piece of paper or in front of a digital page and write out 3 things that you are grateful for.
Personally, I love the pen and paper approach, but that isn't always what works best for everyone! The key is to find something that works for you.
No matter how you go about it, the idea is that you're mindset will shift as you recall the aspects to your life that you show gratefulness towards.
And if you're a science person, this has been proven to rewire your brain! It's crazy to think of how our words can shift our entire day.
Gratitude journaling is a way for you to focus in on the little things in life, and it's something we all should practice in the morning to help encourage a successful day by any measure you see fit.
I hope this was able to bring some light on why this is a tactic that works for so many people, myself included!
Best of luck and come back in the next few weeks for a surprise that will help you take you gratitude journaling to the next level!
